River City Indoor Soccer Club opened in 1991 to provide an exclusive soccer club for Louisville soccer players. Lou and Kathy Flamm owned and operated their family business with the intention of giving their sport of soccer an indoor home. They succeeded in running succesful leagues for more than 18 years.
In April of 2009, The Flamm's sold their soccer business to the Howe's. The Howes wanted to maintain the soccer traditions while bringing their sport of Lacrosse to the indoor sports scene. River City Sports Arena opened April 9th, 2009 and immediately offered the highest quality of indoor lacrosse Louisville has ever had. Lacrosse finally found a home! With Field Hockey being added later, River City Sports Arena became a home for Lacrosse, Field Hockey, and Soccer.
